On Tuesday, the Vice President will deliver remarks at the State Department Global Business Conference.

On Thursday, the Vice President will travel to Boston, Massachusetts, Manchester, New Hampshire and Providence, Road Island to attend campaign events.

On Friday, the Vice President will travel to Davidson Community College near Greensboro, North Carolina to join Dr. Biden and Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis on the final stop of their “Community College to Career” bus tour. Additional details are forthcoming.

Corrected Week-Ahead Guidance for the Vice President:

On Thursday, the Vice President will travel to Boston, Massachusetts; Manchester, New Hampshire; and Providence, Rhode Island; to attend campaign events.

That is of course a paraphrase of what Eddie McCormack said to Ted Kennedy back in their 1962 Senate debate. But it’s just as true now of Teddy’s great-nephew JoJoJo Kennedy.

So what if he doesn’t have any qualifications. He’ll drive off that bridge when he comes to it.

Actually, he does have a record, and that’s the fact that his name is Kennedy and he doesn’t have a record, a police record that is. For a Kennedy, that’s quite a record to run on.

Somebody said yesterday that politics in this state is like the movie “Groundhog Day.” The same thing keeps happening over and over and over again.

You have a bunch of trust-funded limousine liberals railing against the rich — the one-percenters, as they’re being called this year — until a coveted elective office opens up. Then a one-percenter steps up, and all the plebeians in the 99 percent are supposed to automatically step aside and genuflect.

Paging Granny Warren, paging JoJoJo Kennedy. Some of them married their money, others inherited it, or played the race or gender cards for their free rides. But beyond living in mansions, they all have one thing in common. They haven’t got a clue what it’s like to work for a living.

Have you watched the kid’s 170-second campaign-announcement video yet? It’s packed with embarrassing punch lines he doesn’t even realize he’s delivering, including references to “stacking the deck” and the “super-rich.”

But my favorite is when JoJoJo pledges to get “people underwater back on dry land.”

Er, does that include Mary Jo Kopechne?

He’ll be running against Sean Bielat — Peace Corps vs. Marine Corps. In any other state, it would be a no-brainer, especially since 31-year-old JoJoJo was living in his mommy’s basement in Ed Markey’s Cambridge district until last week. Now the papers solemnly call him “the Brookline Democrat.”

Like Uncle Teddy before him, the lad was biding his time in the district attorney’s office. And I give him credit — last December, he prosecuted the Harvard groper. A lot of Kennedys would have recused themselves rather than go after an alleged perv who was lugged on the Red Line. Professional courtesy and all that.

Meanwhile, all the usual coatholders are gathering for this newest iteration of Camelot. But there is one job still open in this Kennedy campaign — the Dave Powers slot. The pay is lousy, the tasks menial, but there are some fringe benefits included, if you get my drift. And I don’t mean having an alley named after you in Charlestown after you’re dead

Alleged illegal immigrant held for Lynn hit-&-run, fourth OUI offense Originally Published on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 By Cyrus Moulton / The Daily Item

LYNN — An alleged illegal immigrant was ordered held without bail and faces deportation after being arrested for his fourth drunken driving offense after a hit-and-run Monday morning.

Lisardo Barrios, alias Oscar Morales, 33, of 784 Western Ave. #1, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, fourth offense, leaving the scene of property damage, driving with a suspended license, failure to stop or yield and furnishing a false name/social security number when arrested on Monday at 3:24 a.m.

Judge Albert Conlon ordered Barrios held without bail at his arraignment in Lynn District Court later that morning. Conlon also revoked $1,000 bail for several charges, including drunken-driving, that Barrios faces in Salem District Court, and ordered Barrios not to drive without a valid Massachusetts license, according to court documents.

….“The two appeared unsteady on their feet as they zigzagged and stumbled about in their respective directions,” the report noted. Both men were stopped and officers noted they both “reeked of an odor of intoxicating liquor,” and their eyes were “red and glassy,” according to the report…

What if Bruins goalie Tim Thomas had posted on his Facebook page that he was in favor of gay marriage?

He’d be up for a Profiles in Courage award, even though it required no courage, only Political Correctness.

But instead the Boston Bruins goalie wrote these 11 fightin’ words:

“I Stand with the Catholics in the fight for Religious Freedom.”

Such hate speech! Such misuse of capital letters! How dare he! The next day, he’s confronted in the Bruins locker room by a pack of baying jocksniffers, the Knights of the Keyboard as Ted Williams used to call the Boston sporting press.

One of them asked Thomas if he “regretted” posting his opinion.

Regret? He expressed his opinion on an issue that was so odious to tens of millions of Americans (including the vice president) that Obama had to kinda, sorta back off Friday.

What if Thomas had posted on his Facebook page that he had converted to Islam, and that he now supported Sharia law?

Okay, he would have been asked about it – once. And then everyone would have praised his courage and cited his First Amendment rights and quoted George W. Bush on “the religion of peace.” And any scribe who brought it up a second time would have been the one who was shunned, not Thomas.

I thought this whole issue was over last month after Thomas skipped the White House ceremony honoring the Bruins’ Stanley Cup championship. You remember how that “renewed a long-running debate.”

Clarification: it’s only a debate when a conservative pulls a no-show. When a moonbat (say, erstwhile Red Sox boy wonder Theo Epstein) snubs a Republican, there’s no controversy. It’s speaking truth to power. Nothing to see here, folks, move along.

But let Thomas post the famous Martin Niemoller quote about “first they came for the Jews” and it’s open season on the UVM grad. One headline said he was “alienating” fans. Detractors were quoted as “grumbling.”

These frontrunners who are ripping Thomas – aren’t they the same people who supported ex-Giant Steve DeOssie when he was goofing around after the Super Bowl? As well they should have. But why does DeOssie get a pass and Thomas is pilloried?

Look, I’m no hockey fan. I only started following the Bruins last Thursday. But I’m told they have a crackpot defenseman named Andrew Ference who’s an Al Gore acolyte. Has anyone ever asked Ference if he “regrets” being duped by the snake-oil salesmen who’ve made millions promoting the man-made hoax of man-made global warming?

No, I didn’t think so.

After the White House tempest-in-a-teapot, the pom-pom boys took time out from breathlessly predicting that the Patriots would roll over the Giants in the Super Bowl to forecast that Thomas would be booed when he returned to the Garden. Wrong again. He got a standing O.

Now they engage in armchair psychoanalysis. Thomas “thrives” on persecution. He’s plotting to get into politics, a la Jim Bunning. Just because he reads something he likes and posts it on his Facebook page. What a freak, huh? Nobody has ever done that before, have they?

Hey Tim, if you want to be left alone by the PC Posse, next time you have a hankering to express your opinion, just bring a bucket of Popeye’s fried chicken and a six-pack of Bud Light onto the bench. The Knights of the Keyboard won’t even notice it until the season’s over.

But slowly, Sal is working his way back home… on ConBus. He’s now locked up in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, pending his appearance next week before the federal grand jury in Worcester that’s readying indictments of assorted State House solons and hacks in the Probation Department scandal.

The more that Sal gives the feds what they want – scalps of his Beacon Hill partners in crime — the sooner he’ll be reunited with his trophy second wife Debbie and their daughter Ashley. Hubba hubba! Va-va-va-voom!

 Sal DiMasi is a big fat rat. Does anyone seriously doubt this? No one at the State House, that’s for sure. To even put the phrases “Sal DiMasi” and “stand-up guy” in the same sentence – it is to laugh.
                The former House speaker will soon be chirping to a federal grand jury in Worcester. How ironic that as he proves once again that there is no honor among thieves, my pal Sal performs the greatest service of his squalid, sticky-fingered career.
                You  see, thanks to Sal, the legislature is “distracted,” or so we are told. Being chased by a posse can have that effect. The hacks are so distracted they just announced they’re not going to raise taxes next year. This tells me we need more distractions, many more.

The Night in 1975 that Whitey almost killed Mayor White.

 Former mayor Kevin Hagan White is being buried today. At the time of his death Friday, he was 82, the same age as Boston gangster serial-killker Whitey Bulger, who survives at the Plymouth County Correctional Facility.

 In late 1979, after his fourth and final victory for mayor of Boston, White sat down for a year-end interview with Christopher Lydon, then the anchor of the 10 O’Clock News on Ch. 2. During the cutaways, White began talking candidly about his deep fear of Whitey, and Whitey’s brother the Senate president.  As he mentions Whitey killing him, watch Kevin use his hands to make an imaginary machine-gun, which he “fires” at Lydon.

 Later, I told an intern at Ch. 56 about the interview, and in an interview at City Hall he asked Mayor White about what he’d told Lydon on videotape. Kevin from Heaven said I’d made up the whole story. Now you can see for yourself.  The video is courtesy of WGBH.

Deval Patrick: ‘Impossible’ that Tim Murray unbuckled in crash  (Click for full Story)

BOSTON — Gov. Deval Patrick appears to be questioning one finding of the state police investigation into Lt. Gov. Tim Murray’s November car crash.

The police analysis of the so-called “black box” in Murray’s state-owned vehicle determined that Murray was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash on Interstate 190 in Sterling.
